Capturing a memory of a memory I captured

As a photographer, there is nothing more joyful for me than to see other people cherishing the images I create for them. It’s my whole purpose as a photographer. I always say, “We’re not just taking pictures; we’re capturing priceless memories forever.” and the coolest thing for me is to know that my creative vision behind the lens has captured a memory for someone that they will never forget. That’s powerful.

Perhaps the greatest way to see that my photography has moved someone is when I walk into a room and see that they have a photo I took and are displaying it in some unique way.

My buddy Terry has a landscape HDR shot I did of Market Street as his desktop wallpaper on dual monitors. That’s a cool feeling when you walk into somebody’s office.

But more recently, I had this cool experience…

Walking into a huge room full of people to discover a photo I took of Kara printed out and framed at King Kong size. (clarification: petite bride, King Kong size frame and print). So, I had to grab a shot of the shot I grabbed. Took a photo of the photo I took. Captured a memory of the memory I captured. Ya know?
