Couples Portraits: The Sarles’ (my parents!)

You should know: I am fully aware that this post will embarrass my parents and I don’t care.  I’m posting it anyway.;)I’ll just tell you now that basically the moral of this session is: My parents are the cutest couple on the planet.

It’s just the truth.

They began dating as seniors in high school in 1975 and have been together ever since.  That’s almost 38 years of loving the same person. You might think they’d be bored with each other after all that time, but they’re not.  They still crack each other up and they’re into things like gardening and watching sports and Downton Abbey together.  What a great legacy for us kids!

It was so much fun to do my first-ever-all-by-myself-on-my-own photo shoot with my own parents!  They were awesome and I’m sure after seeing their photos you’ll agree that they’re the cutest couple on the planet. <3

Family Portraits: The Hunters

The Hunter family has become such a special part of our lives in the past few years.  Our son adores their girls and Monica and I often stay out having coffee until the baristas have to kick us out.  It was so much fun capturing this time in the lives of our friends. Congratulations on Elliott Kristopher Wade, friends!

Family Photos: The Schoppes

If you’ve followed us for any amount of time, you are well acquainted with our sweet friends, The Schoppes.  They are always such a joy to photograph, as they were this past summer when we took these photos of them with their parents and even a sweet grandmother.  There’s just something about multi-generational photoshoots that I love.  Maybe I just love families, I don’t know.:)  Enjoy:

Family Portraits: The Presleys

It’s strange.  This is the third year in a row that we’ve taken a little break from photography at the end of the summer.  I guess we needed it!  This summer ended with two family portrait sessions of two of our favorite families: The Presleys and The Schoppes.  Now that it’s October I thought it was about time to get them up on the blog. Ehem.  So here are the Presley’s photos.  Stay tuned for the Schoppes’ soon!

You may remember our sweet friends, the Presleys, from almost exactly three years ago when we took their “pre-kid” family photos! Since then Eric and Sky been blessed with two sweet boys, Ethan and James.  It was a joy for us to capture their beautiful family a few months ago.  We were impressed with the boys’ ability to stay happy throughout the entire shoot.  Never mind that it was in the dead-heat of summer in humid south Texas!  They did great! Also, I should tell you: Ethan’s pretty serious about super heros.  Batman in particular.  You’ll see what I mean.:)
